Campaign Activity Report

Overview

As of January 2010, the Cathedral campaign has raised $117.4 million in gifts and pledges for construction of the Cathedral Center of Christ the Light. Individuals, foundations, corporations and businesses, and organizations throughout the East Bay continue to respond generously to Bishop Salvatore J. Cordileone’s call to help.

Major Grants

Without major assistance from two local foundations totaling $67 million, construction of the Cathedral project would not have been possible. The Diocese of Oakland is honored to have received this support.

Major Gifts

In addition to the support of foundations, leadership gifts by individuals have been decisive in moving the construction progress forward.
