Death is not the end of our story; it is the beginning of new life through the Resurrection of Jesus.
The Church invites us, especially on the feast of All Souls, to pray for the faithful departed, who “undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1030). We pray that all who die in God’s grace and friendship may come to know the true end of our story: eternal life.
The Cathedral of Christ the Light will celebrate All Souls' Day with a Requiem Mass on Sunday, November 2 at 11:00 am. Bishop Barber will preside, and the Cathedral Choir and Orchestra will present John Rutter's warm and radiant Requiem as we reflect on eternal life. We hope you can join us for this beautiful celebration of remembrance and hope.
