A Christmas Message from the Rector

There seems to be an overshadowing of darkness in our nation and communities where attitudes and behaviors denigrate rather than enhance life and light. This past year has reawakened in many the need for joy and peace as we continue to lean to love each other, to forgive each other and accept all human beings with the compassion of a brother or sister.

I pray that each of us will rekindle the light and compassion of the Lord, so that we see clearly that peace is possible when we work at it; when we desire to decrease conflict and violence when we work at it; and when we see all people created in the image and likeness of God when we work at it!

On behalf of Father Bich, Father Javier, Father Jim, Deacon Dave, Deacon Peter, Deacon Eugene, and the entire pastoral staff of the Cathedral, I pray that you may enjoy God’s blessings as you do the works of Christmas in the New Year.

Merry Christmas,
Father Jay
