    • Funeral Planning

Whether you’re interested in pre-planning your own funeral or making plans for a loved one, you’ll want to look at our faith traditions.

In brief the funeral can have three basic elements:
        1. Vigil (sometimes called visitation or rosary)
        2. Funeral Mass/Memorial Mass
        3. Rite of Committal (graveside)

Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services (CFCS) proudly offers both funeral and cemetery services, all under the guidance of the Diocese of Oakland. Families can take care of all their needs in a single visit, with CFCS coordinating the arrangements with the Church, priest, staff, and family. Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services  can be contacted or referenced for your guide through the decision making process either online or call (510) 605-4921.

If you are using another funeral home, please have their funeral director call the Cathedral parish office (510.832.5057) and ask to speak with Suzann Osegeura.
